Be Respectful: We show respect by using kind words, being polite, and taking care of our school and each other's belongings.

Be Responsible: We take responsibility for our actions, our learning, and making sure we have everything we need each day.

Be Ready to Learn: We are always prepared and focused, giving our best effort to learn in our classroom community.

These values guide our expectations for everyone at Farington Primary School, in and out of the classroom.

Be Respectful

🖐️ Have good manners throughout school. Say please, thank you, and you’re welcome.

🌞 Say good morning/afternoon to adults and other children.

🧳 Be respectful and careful with others' belongings.

🗣️ Talk kindly to all members of Farington Primary School and its visitors.

🚪 Hold doors open for each other.

💬 Use appropriate words and a kind tone.

🚻 Use the toilets properly and respectfully.

🍴 Use the correct table manners when in the lunch hall.

🤝 Be welcoming and respectful of others to make them feel part of our school.

🕊️ Be patient and respectful of others.

Be Responsible

 📝 Remember to have your school diary and all equipment in school and ready to use.

 ✔️ Accept responsibility if you make a mistake and accept the consequence.

 🛡️ Keep yourself and others around you safe.

 ⏰ Be on time for school, registers, and the start of each activity/lesson.

 📚 Read at home, remember to bring your book bag to school each day, and complete any set homework tasks on time.

 🧹 Tidy up your own workspace and shared areas.

Be Ready to Learn

🤫 Be calm and quiet around the school environment.

🪑 Sit still on the carpet or chair.

📍 Be in the right place at the right time.

🌟 Display a Growth Mindset – Have a go!

📏 Line up quietly and in a straight line, on the playground, after break and lunch times.

🙋 Raise your hand when you would like to speak to be respectful of the adults and other children.

👂 Always listen to the adults in school, giving them 100% of your attention.

🚶 Walk down the corridors quietly and in single file.

🕐 Go to the toilet at an appropriate time.
