Farington Primary School Homepage
Aim high. Believe. Achieve. Together.
A very warm welcome to Farington Primary School.
As Headteacher, it is a privilege to welcome you to our school community on behalf of our children, staff and governors. Farington is a happy, welcoming and ambitious school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to believe in themselves and achieve their very best.
We are incredibly proud of our school and, most importantly, of the children who make Farington such a special place to learn and grow.
At Farington, ‘Aim high, believe, achieve, together’ is at the heart of what we do. These words guide our approach to school life and reflect our belief that every child should be encouraged to have high aspirations, believe in themselves, celebrate their successes and understand the importance of working together.
We want every child to develop a love of learning, discover their individual strengths and talents, and have the confidence to aim high for their future. We believe that when children feel safe, happy, respected and supported, they are able to flourish.
At Farington, we have high expectations of both children and adults. We create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to be curious, creative, independent and reflective learners. We celebrate achievement in all its forms and provide opportunities for every child to experience success, develop resilience and take pride in their accomplishments.
We are committed to developing children who are respectful of themselves, each other and the world around them. Through our curriculum, our relationships and our wider school experiences, we help children to become caring, responsible, tolerant and democratic citizens who understand that they can make a positive difference to their community and the wider world.
As part of the Rowan Learning Trust family of schools, we are proud to work closely with our partner schools: Marus Bridge, The Acorns and Whitley Primary Schools, Plantation Primary School, Orrell Lamberhead Green Academy, Orrell Holgate Academy and Prescot Primary and Nursery School. Working together enables us to share expertise, learn from one another and provide even greater opportunities for the children and families we serve.
Our partnership with parents, carers and our local community is equally important. We believe that education is a journey we take together, and we value the trust, support and involvement of our families. By working in partnership, we can give our children the very best possible foundations for a happy, successful and fulfilling future.

Proud of our achievements
We are incredibly proud of the achievements and recognition our school community has received. Our commitment to inclusion, sustainability, positive behaviour and providing opportunities for every child to thrive is reflected in our awards and accreditations. We are proud to be a No Outsiders School, an Eco-School, and to have achieved the Gold Lancashire Behaviour Quality Mark and School Games Gold.
These achievements are a reflection of the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm of our children, staff, families and wider school community. Most importantly, they demonstrate our ongoing commitment to ensuring that every child at Farington has the opportunity to aim high, believe, achieve and succeed together.
