E-Safety

Online Safety (or e-safety) is a major issue in the modern world, as children develop a wide range of skills on the internet.  Whether children access the internet via a computer, tablet or mobile phone, issues can arise as result of children’s natural inquisitive nature and willingness to try something new and ‘exciting’.

Therefore there is a great need to educate pupils about the benefits and risks of using technology and provide both children and parents with the information needed to protect children within the online world, whilst providing them with the amazing opportunities and experiences that technology and the internet can bring.

Our Online Safety Policy reflects the need to raise awareness of the safety issues associated with electronic communications as a whole.  It is the most common safeguarding concern that we see at Farington Primary School and something we take very seriously.

As parents, we strongly encourage you to work with us and learn more about online safety so that together we can prepare children for both the online and offline world.
